Here are the results of the event: CellarTracker! $50 plus Domestic Pinot Noir Tasting
- 2017 Argyle Brut Knudsen Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
Excellent domestic sparkler. Lemon, pie crust, orange peel, toast and mild spice. Medium plus finish and crisp acidity. Should drink well for another 5 to 8 years. (92 pts.) - 2020 Lange Rosé of Pinot Noir – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Very full bodied effort with Bing Cherries, smoke, orange zest, and floral notes. A little spritzy quality on the finish. Solid stuff and this will age. (91 pts.) - 2015 Domaine Serene Pinot Noir Côte Sud Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Excellent showing on this wine tonight. Strawberry, rosemary, spice, rose petals and earth. Concentrated and complex, medium plus finish. Drink now to 2028. (93 pts.) - 2015 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Foss Vineyard – USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
Nice showing after a two hour decant. Soy, meaty quality, spice, raspberries and wood. My first Williams and won’t be my last. 93 points (93 pts.) - 2015 Archery Summit Pinot Noir Arcus Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
Very good showing with cherry blossoms, earth, cranberry, spice and forest floor. The most complex of the wines sampled tonight and a slight winner overall. (94 pts.) - 2017 Penner-Ash Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton
Dark fruit and the biggest style of the 4 Pinots tasting tonight. Wood, earth and floral notes. Medium and concentrated finish. For sure needs time. Drink 2025 to 2032. (92 pts.)
