Great event last night with six of us gathering at one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cites. The 09 Adelsheim was a disappointment but everything else was showing well.

2023 Morgen Long Chardonnay Willamette Valley – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Glasvin Kane. Lemon, shells, wood, white flowers, orange peel and spice. Medium finish and nice acidity. Excellent again. (92 pts.)
2009 Adelsheim Pinot Noir Vintage 32 – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Chehalem Mountains
Glasvin Obsession Pinot. This wine was past peak. Mushrooms, forest floor, dust, menthol and muted fruits. Could have been a storage issue but no score given.
2012 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir The Beaux Frères Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge
Second time sampling this and outstanding and all first place votes of six tonight. Forest floor, strawberries, earth, cherry, dust, rose petals and cherry. Medium plus finish. Just a great wine that will drink well for another few years but drink now while it is peaking. (94 pts.)
2012 Domaine Serene Pinot Noir Mark Bradford – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
A solid wine but nothing like the 12 Beaux Freres. Earth, cranberry, riper fruit and floral notes. Got a bit better with air. Drink now to 2028. (91 pts.)
2017 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir Palissage – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge
Nice acidity on this wine and big upside. Raspberries, minerals, mushrooms, menthol, sour cherry, rose petals and earth. This wine will continue to improve over time. 93 plus. (93 pts.)
2018 Evening Land Vineyards Pinot Noir La Source Seven Springs Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola – Amity Hills
What a less than stellar showing. No one in the group liked this a lot and for the price hard to believe this couldn’t be better. Muted fruits, spices, wafter, earth and floral notes. Not showing me much. (89 pts.)
2021 Soter Pinot Noir Mineral Springs Ranch – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton
Third favorite tonight. Minerals, strawberries, earth, rose petals and cranberry. Balanced and nice minerality on the medium plus finish. Should age through 2032. (92 pts.)
2022 Hundred Suns Pinot Noir Bednarik Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Tualatin Hills
A bit tight and probably will improve on day 2. Brought some home. Strawberries, floral, earth, dust, twigs and minerals. Medium finish. Nice overall effort. (90 pts.)
2021 Colene Clemens Pinot Noir Margo – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Chehalem Mountains
Friend brought this and for under $30 a stellar deal. Cola, spices, earth, dark currants and floral notes. A touch of heat that blew off. Full retail no but under $30 yes. (90 pts.)
