CellarTracker! Big Table Farm Tasting the Current Portfolio

We tasted several wines with Kathryn and all of the wines showed well. Owners Brian Marcy and Clare Carver (does all the art work) have created one of the more environmentally friendly wine operation you will ever visit. I highly recommend a visit on your next trip to Willamette Valley.

The wine reviews:

Outstanding quality. One of the better Pinots on the recent trip to Willamette. Vibrant and fun wine with spice, earth, mushrooms, violets, mild funk, dust and forest floor. Long finish and complex wine that will be rewarded with cellaring. 94+ (94 pts.)

- 2023 Big Table Farm Pinot Gris – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Normally not a fan of domestic Pinot Gris but this one delivers. Diam 10 closure with lemon, strawberries, floral, mild spice and lime. Refreshing and a great summer time wine. (92 pts.) - 2022 Big Table Farm Pinot Noir Sunnyside Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
2nd time trying this wine and excellent with floral, straw, strawberries, dust, dried flowers, chalk and spice. Medium plus finish and cellaring will reward you. (93 pts.) - 2018 Big Table Farm Pinot Noir Pelos Sandberg Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola – Amity Hills
Dark fruits, twigs, celery, earth, mild funk, dust and minerals. Natural cork closure. Very nice wine overall with some years left. Drink through 2028. (93 pts.)

- 2022 Big Table Farm Syrah Funk Estate Vineyard – USA, Oregon, The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater
Ok known mainly for Pinot and Chardonnay but this is a real gem. Sourced from the “Funk Vineyards” this is a rich wine with 15 plus years left of enjoyment. Black pepper, smoke, roasted meats, black olives, spice and stone. Complex and long finish. 94+ (94 pts.)

Looks like I should try these eines
