K Vintners & Sixto & Substance Tasting; 6/18/2019-4/24/2020 (Walla Walla Tasting Room): Day 1: Medium purple. Just smoking! Mild funk, roasted meats, menthol, black pepper, blackberries, dark cherries and dark chocolate. A big wine but no heat. Certainly some spices mixed in. Medium plus finish and delicious.
Day 2: A little bit better with funk, roasted meats, pepper, blackberries, black licorice and dark chocolate. Medium plus finish and concentrated wine. 92.5 points.
Day 3: Even better. This is a long term ager. Black pepper, roasted meats, blackberries, dark cherries, some wood and dark chocolate. Reminds me of a well made Aussie Shiraz of the early 2000s. Very big but balanced. 93 points
Recommendation: Buy and sit on for 3 to 5 years. This will drink through 2030. (93 points)
