At Taste Washington I always want to sample new wineries. Well we hit a homerun with Bayernmoor Cellars. I am not a fan of Washington State Chardonnay in general but their 2022 was outstanding and Chablis like. Also wow Pinot Noir from Washington is a huge bonus. When we think Pinot we think Willamette but their offerings were impressive. Here are the notes.
- 2022 Bayernmoor Chardonnay Celilo Vineyard – USA, Oregon/Washington, Columbia Gorge (3/21/2026)
Glasvin Universal. One of the better Washington Chardonnays I have sampled in a while. Chablis like with lemon, spices, crushed shells, flowers and saline. Medium finish and nice acidity. (92 points)

- 2022 Bayernmoor Pinot Noir Bayernmoor Vineyard – USA, Washington, Puget Sound (3/21/2026)
Glasvin Universal. Very good offering with spices, minerals, unripe strawberries, bramble. and earth. Medium finish. (90 points)

- 2023 Bayernmoor Pinot Noir Clone Précoce – USA, Washington, Puget Sound (3/21/2026)
Glasvin Universal. Really nice Pinot Noir from Washington. Earth, mushrooms, spices, rose petals and dust. Very impressive offering. (92 points)

- 2022 Bayernmoor Merlot Coyote Canyon Vineyard Klipsun Vineyard Red Mountain – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills (3/21/2026)
Glasvin Universal. Spices, cherry, plum, wood, earth and nice minerality on the medium plus finish. Should drink well over the next decade. (91 points)

Sounds like great wines
