Big Table Farm (Big Time Wines)

Started drinking Big Table Farm Wild Bee Chardonnay a few years ago and let me tell you they are really good wines at solid prices. These are 3 current releases that will impress you and your guests. Here is a blog I did in the fall with other wines from Big Table.

  • 2023 Big Table Farm Chardonnay The Wild Bee – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (3/7/2025)
    Day 1: Stone, white flowers, lemon, dust, chalk, spice and orchard fruit. Medium finish and nice acidity. 92+ points
    Day 2: What a difference. Electric wine with minerals, shells, lemon, orchard fruit, lemon, dust, spice, white flowers, mild spices and chalk. Medium plus finish. Chablis Premier Cru quality here. 94 points
    Day 3: Solid and drinking similar to day 2. Slate, minerals, shells, orchard fruit, lemon, white flowers, spice, dust and lime. Medium plus finish. Wonderful value. 94 points
    Recommendation: Top five favorite Chardonnay producers in the US for the money. (94 points)
  • 2023 Big Table Farm Pinot Noir Willamette Valley – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (3/7/2025)
    Day 1: Very nice with cranberry, spice, minerals, dried cherries, earth, mushrooms and floral notes. Rustic in nature and I like it. Medium plus finish. 92 points
    Day 2: Once again, these wines from Big Table Farm are long term agers and need a solid decant if drinking on day 1. Cranberry, strawberries, soy, minerals, forest floor, minerals and mushrooms. Medium plus and rustic wine for sure. Love it. 93+ points
    Day 3: Outstanding quality for the price. Dried cherries, strawberries, floral, cranberry, forest floor, a touch of pepper, spice, minerals and mushrooms. Super complex and medium plus finish. Nice acidity. 93+
    Recommendation: Cellar for about 5 years as this easily have 15 years of enjoyment from vintage. (93 points)
  • 2022 Big Table Farm Pinot Noir Sunnyside Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (3/12/2025)
    Day 1: Composite cork. Light purple in color. A wonderful wine on the pop and pour and Burg like in the house. Wonderful acidity and featuring dried leaves, stone, mushrooms, floral, earth and mild spice. Raspberries and strawberries featured and medium, elegant finish. Just a wonderful wine that will age. 94 points
    Day 2: Excellent with stone, dried leaves, stone, mushrooms, spices, earth, raspberries and strawberries. Medium plus finish and nice acidity. 94 points
    Day 3: Strawberries and cranberries are really present here along with spices, floral, minerals, dust, earth and mushrooms. Medium to long finish and nice acidity. 94 points
    Recommendation: Not cheap but worth the money and a steal compared to many of the expensive Burgundies. (94 points)
