WTSO Wine Deals & $10 off code.

I have been buying from WTSO (Wines Til Sold Out) for over 10 years. Since their start they have always offered free shipping which is a huge money saving play right there. Some of the popular wine shops are now over $5 a bottle to ship.

The other advantage is they are always reliable on shipping. So many other wine shops don’t deliver on time and there are mix ups. Many think it is just FedEx but a lot of the issues fall back on the wine shop itself.

Use this code for $10 off $50 or more: THREEDAY-APRIL when you check out. It is good on any order.

Here are some of my favorites:

  1. This is my wine of the year so far and it is not even close for the price. $27.99. Click here to order.
  • 2011 Clarendon Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Sandown – Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, Clarendon (4/6/2022)
Day 1: Every now and then you get a wine that is polarizing and this is it. Dark purple and perfect cork. The funk on this wine is off the charts in a good way. Funk, blueberries, cigar, spice, minerals, dust, rose petals and pepper. The concentration on the finish is dense. Medium plus finish and nice acidity. This is my new favorite wine of the year. 94 points
Day 2: Most anticipated day 2 experience of the year. It is again outstanding while a bit different. The amazing funk nose and palate has soften but this wine now reveals: Blueberries, minerals, dark chocolate, tar, spice, black pepper and forest floor. Picks up some menthol on this concentrated medium plus finish. Equally as good and hard to save any for day 3 but I will. 94 points.
Day 3: Wow still great and an experience. Dark chocolate, dust, earth, black pepper, blue currants, cigar and tar. Flavorful to the max and balanced wine. Medium to long finish. Outstanding. 94+ points
Recommendation: This is my wine of the year so far and for $27.99 at WTSO you can’t go wrong. (94 points)

  • 2009 Clarendon Hills Grenache Clarendon – Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, Clarendon (4/10/2022)
Day 1: Bright fruit and flavorful. Raspberries, strawberry and blackberries. Mild spice, minerals and fresh roasted coffee beans. Medium plus finish. Super tasty wine without the over the top alcohol. Highly recommended. (Natural cork) 92 points
Day 2: Holding form and has some life left in the cellar. Strawberry and raspberry dominate in the fruit category along with bramble, spice, minerals and coffee beans. Picks up a little roasted meat on the finish. Medium plus and a steal of a value at $24.99 with free shipping from WTSO. 92 points
    Recommendation: Buy it! (92 points)

  • 2017 Cadence Bel Canto Cara Mia Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain (2/2/2022)
Day 1: Bordeaux Style Blend featuring Cabernet Franc. Outstanding wine with tobacco, wood, raspberries, spice, minerals, floral and dust. Drinking well on the pop and pour. 73% Cabernet Franc,18% Merlot,9% Petit Verdot (Natural cork) 93 points
Day 2: Even more open for business. Tobacco, floral, earth, dust, spices, minerals, cherry, wood and raspberries. Super complex wine and long finish. This is an amazing value at $39.99 at WTSO. 94 points
Day 3: Interesting transformation with more wood showing along with cherry, dust, raspberries, spices, floral and earth. Medium plus finish and complex wine. This wine will benefit from some age but the potential is very high. 93 points
Recommendation: $39.99 at WTSO with free shipping is a no brainer but for sure cellar this for 5 plus years as others have indicated to me that have had different vintages. (94 points)
