My brother set us up with Jeremy Eubanks the assistant winemaker for Va Piano in Walla Walla. It was an amazing tour of the estate including barrel sampling, walking the vineyards and learning about their wine making philosophy. I highly recommend a visit to the winery and their Syrah’s are outstanding.

Grapefruit, orange peel, minerals and floral notes. Delicate wine with a shorter finish. Refreshing. (89 pts.) - 2016 Va Piano Vineyards Chardonnay Black Label Series French Creek Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley
Very light style and not my preference for Chardonnay. Apple, pear and minerals. Lacks complexity. (85 pts.) - 2015 Va Piano Vineyards Syrah Columbia Valley – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
Pepper, blackberries, blueberries, mild oak, tar and red meats. Very solid effort that should benefit with age. 90-92. (90 pts.) - 2016 Va Piano Vineyards Syrah Black Label Reserve Portteus Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Rattlesnake Hills
