This is again a disappointment. Surdyk’s has been going the wave of Haskell’s lately and really show casing wines of average or below quality to try and compete with Total Wine who is the King of horrible wine marketed to the masses.
All of the good wines on this sale are older vintages. It appears they are not buying newer vintages of good Bordeaux, Rhone, Burgundy, etc. They don’t even have a Champagne section in the flyer!!!
Pages 8 & 9 are a huge bust of Domestic Wines. Not one drinkable Pinot Noir (they used to carry nice Pinot wines), one wine over $40 and it is Pine Ridge and the Chardonnay section looks like you are at Total Wine.
Only one I would recommend is Substance Cabernet from Washington $12.99
Here are a few wines I would recommend for this sale which ends on March 15.
