Controversy with a Pinot Noir

This particular wine has some serious score fluctuations on Cellar Tracker. These are always interesting anomalies. I had another wine this year with a ton of comments on cellar tracker which was the 2017 Pax Syrah Sonoma Hillsides(USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley). The comments on Wine Berserkers were an interesting read. Many thought the wine was flawed however many including myself loved the wine. There are many factors that can ruin a wine. The expression there are only good bottles truly applies to wine.

2014 Knez Winery Pinot Noir – USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (12/24/2019)
Christmas Wines; 12/22/2019-12/25/2019 (Minneapolis, MN): Day 1: Little murky in color. Underbrush, violets, ripe strawberries, funk and spice. This is a lighter style which I love and very nice finish. I am going to really enjoy drinking this throughout the day. 91 points
Day 2: A delicate gem. Mushrooms, perfume, ripe strawberries, underbrush and white pepper. Very flavorful and medium plus finish. This is a solid effort. 91-92 points
Note: Interesting reviews on this wine. Seems like K & L got a bad batch. My prediction heat damage. Mine was purchased from Envoyer and is very good.
Day 3: Burg like with funk, light fruits, floral and earth. Good acidity. Short to medium finish. 91 points
Recommendation: if you get this less than $25.00 buy unless it is from K & L. (91 points)
