2018 Sleight of Hand Syrah Psychedelic Stoney Vine Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley (2/28/2024) Day 1: Diam 30. I like this style and very old school. Dried herbs, black olives, spices, perfume, roasted meats and dark fruits. While still young shows great potential. 94 points Day 1.5: Amazing and even better. Black olives, roasted meats, blueberries, spices, stone, white pepper, soy, perfume, dark fruits and coffee beans. Amazing wine. 95 points Day 2: Black olives, gravel, blue currants, perfume, roasted meats, dust and earth. Nice concentration and good acidity. A really good wine now but will cellar further for sure. 94 points Day 3: Even better on day 3 than day 1. This wine is amazing and hard to believe it is $49.99 at a local wine shop. Black olives, stone, white pepper, perfume, roasted meats, black fruits and exotic spices. A true gem and great QPR. 95+ points Recommendation: I think this will get even better with some time.
