I have tasted 10,000 plus wines in my lifetime. Yes I have sampled all the first growths, 1968 Bodegas Vega-Sicilia Ribera del Duero Único & many more. In my lifetime I have picked up some amazing closeout wines at ridiculous prices including the legendary 2007 J. J. Prum wines from Big Top for $7.00. As far as all of those wines go no wine has been a better value than the 2014 Davenport Cellars Mr. B (USA, Washington, Columbia Valley). Here are some of my ratings for this $11.00 bottle of wine.

2014 Davenport Cellars Mr. B – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (12/23/2020)
This bottle won’t make it two days. My wife’s favorite red. Beautiful again with cherry, plum, menthol, spice, smoke and dark chocolate. Amazing there is any Mr. B left at Davenport but if people don’t listen that is their fault. 93 points (93 points)

Davenport Cellars Wines; 12/30/2019-10/9/2020 (Minneapolis, MN):
Day 1: 36 bottles ordered. Holy sh..! Blueberries, dark cherries, dark chocolate, earth and menthol. Not many would guess this wine in a blind tasting as a $15.00 bottle of wine. Might be the best wine I have ever tasted in the QPR category. 94 points
Day 2: Solid showing the gorgeous fruit of day 1 along with dark chocolate, sour raspberries, menthol and forest floor. Just a great Bordeaux style blend from Washington. 93 points (94 points)
2014 Davenport Cellars Mr. B – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (9/7/2020)
Day 1: This is the best bottle of the lot. Best QPR in my life. Blueberries, minerals, dust, wood, spice, menthol and dark chocolate. Long finish and concentrated. Balanced wine!!! 94 points
Day 2: Not as good but solid. Spice, blueberries, wood, menthol and dark chocolate. Big style wine but great. 92 points
Recommendation: One of the few bottles of Mr. B that went down on day 2. Drink now to 2026. (94 points)
Wonderful wine.
