2009 Col Solare – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (5/28/2019)
Day 1: Bing cherries, dark chocolate, baking spices, oak and roasted nuts. Firm tannins. Medium to long finish. Should get better on day 2. 90 points
Day 2: Big wine with Bing cherries, dark chocolate, spices, leather, roasted nuts and oak. Medium to long finish. Not much change on this one. I like the wine but not as complex as I would hope for the price point. Solid 90 points.
Day 3: Not much improvement. I don’t see this wine every reaching great heights. A bit over priced for what it delivers. 90 points
Recommendation: Don’t buy unless you can get it under $35. (90 points)
