Last Call on Davenport

I will brag. I am the king of Twin Cities wine deals. Remember the $7.00 Joh. Jos. Prum Riesling deals? My recommendations sell out wines very quickly. When Davenport Cellars decided to retire from the wine business I bought a mixed case and loved the wines. My posts on Wine Berserkers moved a ton and I mean a ton of wine. Hundreds of cases. Unlike the other local Twin Cities Wine Educators and Writers I actually promote good wine. Most of what they promote is a joke and any one with a palate knows this. There are 8 cases left of Patch from Davenport and I am drinking this 91 point right now. $11.00 if you sign up for their Discovery Club. Shipping at $35 a case is a deal unlike so many wineries that sock it to you! Enjoy and thank me later.

ONLY 7 CASES REMAINING.

  • 2015 Davenport Cellars Patch – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (3/19/2021)
Day 1: 9 cases left. Final decision one more case of Davenport! This is smooth with raspberries, cherry, earth, minerals and floral notes. Should cost $40.00 but it costs $11.00! Value off the charts. 91 points (91 points)
  • 2015 Davenport Cellars Patch – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (3/17/2021)
Day 2: Floral, spices, bright fruits, minerals and red hots. An interesting wine and tremendous value. This is the most intense version of this wine and getting a lot of spice from the Cabernet Franc. 91 points (91 points)
  • 2015 Davenport Cellars Patch – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (3/13/2021)
Day 1: Last shipment of Mr. B and added six Patch. Wonderful. Lighter in style and elegant. Spice, raspberries, earth, minerals and dark chocolate. Delicious and wonderful price. 91 points
Day 2: Drinking well. Not going to make it to day 3 nor needs too. Raspberries, earth, Asian spices, licorice and dark chocolate. A game quality on the finish which is nice. Medium finish. 91 points
Recommendation: Buy it as there is less than 15 cases left at $11.00 a bottle.
This wine is 52% Cabernet Franc, 31% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Malbec.

Fruit sources include Sheridan Vineyard in Rattlesnake Hills, Les Collines in Walla Walla and Weinbau on the Wahluke Slope.

Aged in all French oak. Cases Produced: 178 (91 points)

  1. I wish I would have know about the Mr. B! A friend of mine bought a case but I was too late to the party.

    1. Jason you did miss out! Best $11 wine I have ever tasted. Too bad they sold out but I am sure there will be other discoveries down the road.
