Super Summer Sipper Twin Cities Wine Tasters

3 Times is a charm. 91 points each time! This is on sale at a wine shop in the Twin Cities through the end of July. Only those on my Twin Cities Wine Club list will get access to this sale.

2013 Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc – USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (7/22/2018)
1Day Review: Fresh and vibrant. Lemon, citrus, chalk and wet stones. Medium plus finish and several years left on this one. 90 points
Day 2 Review: This is still drinking really well. Citrus fruits, lemon oil, spices, wafer and wet stone. Medium plus finish and great acidity. This is a super wine and a great value at the $15 I paid for it. 91 points
Recommendation: This did not make it to day 3. Too tasty on day 2. Buy this if you can get it at $15 and drink over the next couple years. (91 points)

2013 Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc – USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (5/20/2018)
Day 1: Very enjoyable. More formal review on day 2.
Day 2 Review: Nose of saline, lemon oil, orange peel and spice. On the palate very nice spice, minerals, oranges, lemon oil and saline. Short to medium finish. Picks up a little Carmel 30 seconds later. Very refreshing wine and should hold form for 3 or more years. Will revisit day 3. 91 points

Day 3: Nose not as intense and palate follows suite. For sure this is not as good as day 2. 87 points
Recommendation: Should cellar well for 3 years but best enjoyable on day 2. (91 points)
2013 Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc – USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (1/28/2018)
Annual CDP Tasting (Edina Country Club): This is drinking really well right now. Floral, apricots, stone fruit and a nice minerality streak on the finish. Balanced and well made. Drink now or hold a few more years. 54% Grenache Blanc, 25% Viognier, 13% Roussanne and 8% Marsanne. (91 points)

  1. I am interested in joining your club. Sounds like what I have been looking for. I have been to other educator tastings and wines are good but not great.
