Kevin White One of the Top Wineries in Washington for the Money!

I was first introduced to Kevin White’s wines through my brother Brian. He is focused on red Rhone Wines. The price point on these wines are some of the best in the world for the quality. Check out all of these reviews:

    Cherry, floral, black pepper, spice and blueberries. Medium plus finish and good acidity. Drink now to 2023. (92 points)

    Washington State Tasting (John’s House Bloomington, MN): Kevin White remains one of the top wineries for the money in the US. Cherry blossoms, blackberries, pepper, spice and minerals. Love the Fraternite wines from several vintages. Outstanding value. (93 points)
  • 2016 Kevin White Winery Heritage DuBrul Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (6/16/2019)
    Washington State Trip Day 3 (Seattle Brother’s House): Day 1: Cherry, plum, spice, fresh ground coffee and bell peppers. Very concentrated and long finish.
    Day 2: A bit more approachable showing some really nice fruit featuring cherries, plums and blueberries. Spice, coffee, bell peppers and dark chocolate. This is an amazing effort and the price point is hard to beat. 93 points (93 points)
  • 2016 Kevin White Winery Heritage DuBrul Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (6/15/2019)
    Washington State Day 2 (Seattle/Woodinville): Tasting pour. Very good wine. Get your hands on these before they sell out. Cherry, blueberries, coffee beans, neutral wood and spice. Medium to long finish. Balanced wine. 93 plus (93 points)
  • 2017 Kevin White Winery La Fraternité – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (6/15/2019)
    Washington State Day 2 (Seattle/Woodinville): Tasting pour. Excellent young wine. Underbrush, floral, black pepper, red currant and spice. Medium to long finish. A tremendous value for $30. Age for up to a decade. (92 points)
  • 2017 Kevin White Winery Pionnier Boushey Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (6/15/2019)
    Washington State Day 2 (Seattle/Woodinville): Tasting pour. Pepper, raspberry, stone, floral and mild spices. Very tasty wine with medium finish. Drink now to 2025. (92 points)
  • 2017 Kevin White Winery Syrah En Hommage – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (6/15/2019)
    Washington State Day 2 (Seattle/Woodinville): Tasting pour. Plum, blueberries, stone, mild oak/vanilla and floral notes. Very smooth wine over all. Medium finish. Amazing how well this is drinking and fruit is the main feature. (92 points)
  • 2017 Kevin White Winery Red Wine – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (6/15/2019)
    Washington State Day 2 (Seattle/Woodinville): Day 1: Kevin White’s entry level red blend. I like the screw cap closure. Big fruit featuring ripe cherries and plums. Nice spice elements along with underbrush and floral notes on the finish.
    Day 2: better on day 2. Blackberries, game, pepper, plum, floral and perfume. Nice rustic edge to this one. 90 points (90 points)
  • 2012 Kevin White Winery La Fraternité – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (4/5/2019)
    Day 1: Violets, spice, raspberries, floral and stone. Very concentrated and full of flavor. Medium to long finish and amazing. Kevin White is making some of the best Rhone wines for the money in the US. Another stellar effort. 92 points.
    Day 2: Nice rustic edge to the wine with underbrush, spice, floral, stone and raspberries. Has a little bit to the finish. Medium plus and good acidity. Outstanding value from Kevin White. 92 points
    Day 3: Has lost nothing on day 3 which for younger wines is the mark in my opinion of a superior wine. Iron, stone, underbrush, floral, spice and berries. Good acidity and flavor across the palate/finish. Medium plus. Just a stellar wine at a great price point. 92+ points
    Recommendation: I would hold this for a few more years if you have one left. Plenty in the tank. IF you have a six pack enjoy one a year for a comparison of the evolution. (92 points)
  • 2011 Kevin White Winery La Fraternité – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (3/8/2019)
    Day 1: Pop and pour. Open for business right out of the gate. Pepper, Garrique, spices, raspberries and stone. Savory wine and balanced. Multilayered, long finish. This is an amazing effort and will be seeking out more of this wine. 93+
    Day 2: White pepper, stones, raspberries, floral, spice and roasted meats. Savory wine and medium to long finish. Beautifully crafted wine and one of the best QPR wines I have sampled in a long time. 94 points
    Day 3: White pepper, floral, spice, gravel and raspberries. Amazing how well this has held up over 3 days. Still vibrant and delicious although day 2 was a bit better. 92 points
    Recommendation: This is an amazing effort for $20. I would drink this now to 2024. (93 points)
  • 2013 Kevin White Winery La Fraternité – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (12/26/2018)
    Garrique, pepper, underbrush and mint. Somewhere between the Rhône and Washington. Medium plus finish. (90 points)

  1. Excellent wines. I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin over the summer and he is making some of the better Rhone inspired wines from Washington.
